Rwandan police have announced that renowned gospel music artist, Kizito Mihigo has’ hanged ” Rwandan police say. According to a police announcement, the artist’s dead body was found in a room where he was detained at Remera police station in Kigali.
Police said he had hanged himself three days after being arrested near the border between Rwanda and Burundi in what police said he intended to escape from the country and join rebel groups against Rwanda.
He had started an investigation into the allegations as well as wanted to bribe the people who rejected him.

A year ago he was released from the president’s pardon after being sentenced to 10 years in prison for allegedly killing the president and mobilizing citizens to oppose the government.
There have been mixed reactions on social media regarding the sudden death of the gospel music artist while some are seeking answers from the government.
The 38-year-old became famous for his songs such as ‘Inuma’ which means dove and ‘Igisobanuri cy’urupfu’ which describes what death is.
